This thesis deals with Veřejný sál Hraničář, its history and present situation focusing on cultural and program composition. In the theoretical part of this thesis is the reader introduced to typology of cinemas in Czech Republic, history of cinema in Ústí nad Labem and important milestones of Veřejný sál Hraničář.
