Donatism and African Separatsm in the Late Antiquity in Comparison to the Separatism in Gaul.
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá křesťanskou herezí donatismem a africkým separatismem, který srovnává se separatismem v Galii v pozdní antice. Stěžejním cílem magisterské práce je porovnat kořeny obou těchto jevů, jejich dopad na situaci v Římské říši a v závěru vyvodit, zda lze tyto historické jevy pozdní antiky skutečně srovnávat.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with Christian heresy Donatism and African separatism, which is compared with separatism in Gaul in late antiquity. The main goal of the master's thesis is to compare the roots of both of these phenomena, their impact on the situation in the Roman Empire and to conclude whether these historical phenomena of late antiquity can really be compared.
