Impacts of the Green Deal on the Czech electricity market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje dopady evropské politiky Green Deal na český trh s elektřinou. Protože tato oblast není ve vědě probádána, přináší především originální autorské myšlenky. Práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci silných a slabých stránek trhu, možnosti rozvoje a zlepšení a také na identifikaci rizik spojených s dopady politiky Green Deal na něj. Práce také poskytuje systematický přehled současné právní regulace trhu s elektřinou v České republice a její ekonomický přesah, včetně daňové regulace. Dále jsou analyzovány legislativní nástroje Evropské unie, které jsou využívány k realizaci politiky Green Deal. V závěru práce jsou prezentovány výsledky SWOT analýzy českého trhu s elektřinou v kontextu politiky Green Deal. Na základě těchto výsledků jsou navržena doporučení, která by mohla přispět k plynulejší transformaci českého trhu s elektřinou v souladu s politickými cíli Evropské unie.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the impact of the European Green Deal policy on the Czech electricity market. It brings original author's ideas, as this area is not explored in science. The thesis focuses on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the market, opportunities for development and improvement, as well as identifying the risks associated with the impact of the Green Deal policy on it. The thesis also provides a systematic overview of the current legal regulation of the electricity market in the Czech Republic and its economic overlap, including its tax regulation. Furthermore, the legislative instruments of the European Union that are used to implement the Green Deal policy are analysed. The paper concludes with the results of a SWOT analysis of the Czech electricity market in the context of the Green Deal policy. Based on these results, recommendations are proposed that could contribute to a smoother transformation of the Czech electricity market in line with the policy objectives of the European Union.
