Abstract:

Diplomová práce Genderové nerovnosti na trhu práce se zaměřením na odměňování se zabývá tématem nerovného odměňování mužů a žen na trhu práce v České republice. Gender pay gap je stále aktuální téma a často je nesprávně interpretován jako přímá diskriminace. Ve skutečnosti je však tento ukazatel ovlivněn více faktory, které byly představeny vteoretické části diplomové práce. Vprvní části se práce věnuje vývoji postavení mužů a žen ve společnosti a vlivem druhé demografické tranzice na rodinné zázemí zaměstnanců. Péče o rodinu a domácnost, kterou většinou zastává žena, je jedním z determinantů ovlivňujících gender pay gap v České republice. Mezi další faktory v České republice patří horizontální a vertikální segregace trhu práce, nepřímá diskriminace, dosažené vzdělání nebo věk. Další část práce zobrazuje vývoj základních ekonomických ukazatelů trhu práce podle pohlaví. Vanalytické části byla provedena analýza dat z Informačního systému o průměrném výdělku za rok 2018, která byla rozdělena do mzdové a platové sféry. Výpočty se týkají pouze zaměstnanců v České republice a nezahrnují jiné formy výdělků. V první části byly zobrazeny neočištěné gender pay gapy podle jednotlivých faktorů. Ve druhé části byl navržen model vícenásobné lineární regrese zvlášť pro mzdovou a platovou sféru. Pomocí regresní analýzy se podařilo očistit gender pay gap v jednotlivých sférách a prokázat vliv dostupných proměnných na rozdíl v odměňování mužů a žen v České republice.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is Gender inequalities in the labour market focusing on remuneration. The thesis deals with unequal pay for men and women in the labour market in the Czech Republic. Gender pay gap is still a topical issue and it is often misinterpreted as direct discrimination. However, this indicator is influenced by several factors, which are presented in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. The first part of the thesis deals with the development of the social status of men and women and with the impact of the second demographic transition on the family background of employees. Family and household care, which is mostly taken by a woman, is one of the determinants influencing the gender pay gap in the Czech Republic. Other factors include horizontal and vertical segregation of the labour market, indirect discrimination, education level or age. The next part of the thesis shows the development of basic economic indicators of the labour market by gender. The analytical part of the diploma thesis analysed data from the Average earnings information system for 2018, which were divided into the wage and salary spheres. The calculations relate to employees in the Czech Republic only and do not include other forms of earnings. Firstly, the unadjusted gender pay gaps were displayed according to individual factors. Models of multiple linear regression were proposed separately for the wage and salary spheres, in the second part of the analytical part. After that the adjusted gender pay gaps in the individual spheres were calculated using regression analysis and the effect of available variables on the gender pay gap in the Czech Republic was demonstrated.
