Compliance of the Maastricht convergence criteria and the debt crisis in EU
Abstract:
Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat plnění maastrichtských konvergenčních kritérií v letech 1999 až 2013 státy EU před dluhovou krizi a po ní. Příčinou dluhové krize v EU bylo zejména nedůsledné dodržování zásad Paktu stability a růstu a později konvergenčních kritérií, což vedlo k zesílení důsledků dluhové krize.
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to analyze the fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria in the years 1999-2013 by EU states before the debt crisis and after it. The cause of the debt crisis in the EU has been particularly inconsistent adherence to the principles of the Stability and Growth Pact and later convergence criteria, which led to the amplification effects of the debt crisis.
