The planning process in hotel manager's practice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na definování plánovacího procesu v podniku a konkrétně na manažerskou praxi v hotelu. Cílem je zjistit realný stav při realizaci plánovacího procesu v hotelu. Teoretická část identifikuje základní teoretická východiska z hlediska managementu a manažerské funkce plánování. Obsahem této části je představení základních definic a postupů dle příslušných odborných autorů. V této části budu objasňovat vlastní podstaty managementu, jednotlivé manažerské funkce a samotné postavení manažera v podniku, pak jednotlivé druhy plánování z hlediska časového rozhraní, na které se plánování vztahuje, zásady efektivnosti plánování, formy a bariéry. Kromě strategického, taktického a operativního členění plány se plány dále klasifikují na různé druhy např. dle účelu atd. Dál se budeme zabývat identifikováním různých metod a principů plánování, které se samozřejmě odvíjejí od zaměření daného manažera. Závěrečnou teoretickou částí je představení postupu při sestavení plánu. V praktické části jsou zobrazeny výstupy z realizovaného kvantitativního výzkumu prostřednictvím dotazníku. Tento dotazník, byl elektronickou formou zaslán manažerům hotelů, na různých manažerských postech, kteří jej následně elektronicky vyplnili. Dotazník se primárně zaměřil na analýzu plánovacího procesu manažerů.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on defining the planning process in the company and specifically on managerial experience in the hotel. The aim is to find out the real status on the implementation planning process at the hotel. The theoretical part identifies the basic theoretical background in terms of management and managerial functions of planning. The contect of this section is to introduce the basic definitions and procedures in accordance with relevant professional authors. In this section I will explain the very nature of management, different management functions and actual status of a manager in a company, then various kinds of planning in terms of time interface to which the plan applies the principles of efficiency of planning, forms a barrier. In addition to the strategic, tactical and operational plans of subdivision plans are further classified in different kinds eg.,Etc. depending on the purpose. Next, we discuss various methods of identifying and planning principles that are naturally derive from the focus of the manager. The final part is a theoretical introduction of the procedure for drawing up the plan. In the practical part shows the output from quantitative research implemented through a questionnaire. This questionnaire was eloctranically sent to the managers of hotels, in various managerial positions, who then filled out electronically. The questionnaire was primarily focused on the analysis of the planning process managers.
