Origami in the teaching of elementary geometry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou origami ve výuce elementární geometrie. Hlavními cíli bylo charakterizovat origami zejména z didaktického hlediska, analyzovat sérii dvanácti origami, vytvořených žáky prvního ročníku základní školy, na základě této zkušenosti zformulovat metodická doporučení pro práci v didaktickém prostředí origami a uvést výhody i nevýhody použití origami ve výuce. Teoretická část práce nabízí historický popis origami, didaktické využití skládání a stříhání papíru v předškolním a školním vzdělávání a stručný náhled do metody Vyučování orientované na budování schémat. Hlavními praktickými částmi práce je pak metodologie a analýza žákovských prací. Poslední dvě kapitoly obsahují shrnutí metodických doporučení pro práci s origami ve výuce, výhody a nevýhody skládání papíru.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the origami in the teaching of elementary geometry. The main objectives were to characterize the origami in particular from didactic point of view, to analyze a series of twelve origami, created by pupils of the first grade of elementary school, based on this experience, to formulate methodological recommendations for work in the didactic environment origami and indicate the advantages and disadvantages of using origami in education. The theoretical part of the work offers a historical description of origami, educational use of folding and cutting paper in pre-school and school education and a brief insight into the methods of Scheme-oriented Approach to Education. The main practical parts of the work are methodology and analysis of pupils' work. The last two chapters contain a summary of the methodological recommendations for working with origami in education, advantages and disadvantages of paper folding.
