TERRITORIAL DISPARITIES OF THE DEMOGRAPHIC AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC INDICATORS AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE DEATH OF THE SOUTH MORAVIAN REGION

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rozdíly ve struktuře úmrtnosti a územními disparitami demografických a socioekonomických indikátorů v okresech Jihomoravského kraje. Práce vychází z dat získaných převážně z Českého statistického úřadu a Ústavu zdravotnických informací a statistiky ČR za období let 2006–2015. Cílem je pomocí kompozitního indikátoru komparovat okresy Jihomoravského kraje a zjistit míru korelace mezi hlavními příčinami úmrtí a vybranými demografickými a socioekonomickými indikátory. Za použití statistických metod bylo zjištěno, že v roce 2006 i 2015 patří mezi nejlepší okresy dle struktury úmrtnosti okres Brno-venkov, okres Vyškov a okres Břeclav. Podle výsledků kompozitního indikátoru demografických a socioekonomických indikátorů na tom byl v roce 2006 i 2015 nejlépe okres Brno-město, naopak nejhorší hodnoty dosahovaly v obou sledovaných letech okresy Blansko a Hodonín. Byla zjištěna závislost struktury úmrtnosti na demografických a socioekonomických indikátorech, konkrétně v roce 2006 u okresů Vyškov, Blansko a Hodonín a v roce 2015 u okresů Brno-venkov, Vyškov a Hodonín. V roce 2006 došlo k vytvoření 3 shluků, zatímco v roce 2015 se okresy shlukly pouze do 2 klastrů. Diplomová práce poukazuje na význam sledování ukazatelů zdraví, které ovlivňují nejen samotný zdravotní stav jedince, ale i kvalitu celé společnosti.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the differences in the structure of mortality and territorial disparities of demographic and socio-economic indicators in the districts of the South Moravian Region. The work is based on data obtained mainly from the Czech Statistical Office and the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic for the period 2006-2015. The aim is to compare the districts of the South Moravian Region using a composite indicator and to determine the degree of correlation between the main causes of death and selected demographic and socio-economic indicators. Using statistical methods it was found that in 2006 and 2015, the districts of Brno-venkov, Vyskov and Breclav were among the best districts according to the mortality structure. According to the results of the composite indicator of demographic and socio-economic indicators, in 2006 and 2015 it was best for the Brno-city district, while the worst values were reached in Blansko and Hodonin, in both monitored years. Dependence of the mortality structure on the demographic and socio-economic indicators was found, namely in 2006 in Vyskov, Blansko and Hodonin, and in 2015 in the districts of Brno-venkov, Vyskov and Hodonin. In 2006, three clusters were created, while in 2015 the districts were separated into only two clusters. The diploma thesis highlights the importance of monitoring health indicators that affect not only the health of the individual but also the quality of the whole society.
