Coherence of theory and practice in the education of police officers of the riot police in the field of first aid

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou úrovně vzdělávání příslušníků pořádkových jednotek Policie České republiky v oblasti poskytování první pomoci. Práce je zaměřena především na provázanost teorie a praxe ve vzdělávání policistů. Teoretická část práce seznamuje se strukturou pořádkových jednotek v rámci Policie České republiky a představuje současné poznatky z oblasti první pomoci. Obsahuje také popis současného systému vzdělávání v rámci autorovy domovské Speciální pořádkové jednotky Krajského ředitelství Policie České republiky hl. města Prahy. Praktická část práce je sestavena pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s informanty z vybraných pořádkových jednotek. Tím práce poukazuje na současný stav a analyzuje efektivitu teoretického a praktického vzdělávání policistů v oblasti poskytování první pomoci.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the level of education of the members of the Police forces of the Czech Republic in the field of first aid. The work is focused mainly on the interconnection of theory and practice in police education. The theoretical part of the work introduces the structure of law enforcement agencies within the Police of the Czech Republic and presents current knowledge in the field of first aid. It also contains a description of the current system of education within the Special Riot Unit, Regional Police Directorate of the capital of Prague where the author is based. The practical part of the work is compiled using semi-structured interviews with informants from selected law enforcement units. Thus, the work points to the current state and analyes part of the effectiveness of the theoretical and practical training of police officers in the field of first aid.
