Islam in Europe, focusing on the situation in the Federal Republic of Germany

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce je věnována tématu islámu v Evropě se zaměřením na Spolkovou republiku Německo. Hlavním cílem je zmapovat situaci muslimských menšin v Německu z hlediska jejich integrace do většinové společnosti. V práci je pojednáno o vzniku islámu a pronikání na evropský kontinent, o islámských tradicích i právním systému, který byl komparován se systémem evropským. Část práce je věnována také právům muslimských žen. Při pohledu na integrační a imigrační politiky západních zemí Evropské unie nebyla opomenuta ani problematika multikulturalismu. Toto téma bylo nastoleno také v hlavním tématu práce zabývajícím se situací muslimské menšiny a její integrace v Německu.

Abstract:

This thesis is attended to the issue of Islam in Europe with the focus to Federal Republic of Germany. The main target is to discover the situation of Muslim minority in Germany in light of the integration to the majority community. In this work the Islam arising is described and its infiltration in European continent, the Islam tradition and their legal system, which was compared to the European system. One part of this work is devoted to rights of women. The multiculturalism issue has not been neglected by the looking at the integration and immigration policy of western countries of the European Union. This issue has been further mentioned in the main theme of thesis about situation of Muslim minority and its integration in Germany.
