Crisis management in terms of credit crise conditions

Abstract:

Focus of the work is on the uncertaity of the mortgage crisis in the United States of America, USA, which has penetrated the entire world through mortgage-backed securities. This threatens the world economy and has caused increasing concern about future econo¬mic growth. The first chapter uses simple models to provide an understanding of the motgage market in the USA. Attention is given to the banking system in the USA and to the uncertaity of securitization. The second chapter focuses on the characteristics of the two important enti¬ties: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The author focuses on the development, line of business and the baseline products of these companies. The third chapter describes the purpo-se of the bachelor thesis in the area of the development and continuance of the financial crisis. Using fudamentally acquired knowledge the author illustrates the continuance of the crisis as a consequence of several negative effects. Attention is given to the abrupt sharp fall in property prices, lack of regulation and the failure of rating companies.

Abstract:

Práca sa zaoberá problematikou hypotekárnej krízy v Spojených štátoch amerických, ktorá prenikla do celého sveta prostredníctvom hypotekárnych cenných papierov. Kríza ohrozuje celú svetovú konjunktúru a zvyšuje obavy o budúci rast ekonomiky. Prvá kapitola umožňuje na základe jednoduchých modelov pochopenie hypotekárneho trhu v USA. Pozornosť je venovaná bankovému systému v Spojených štátoch amerických a problematike sekuritizácie. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá charakterizáciou dvoch výz¬namných hypotekárnych entít, spoločnosti Fannie Mae a Freddie Mac. Autor sa sústreďuje na vývoj, predmet činnosti a základné produkty spoločnosti. Tretia kapitola vystihuje cieľ bakalárskej práce v oblasti vzniku a priebehu finančnej krízy. Na základe nadobudnutých poznatkov autor ilustruje priebeh krízy v dôsledku viacerých negatívnych vplyvov. Pozornosť je upriamená na prudký pokles cien nehnuteľností, nedostatočnú reguláciu a zlyhanie ratingových spoločností.
