Volunteer firefighters as bearers of tradition

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o historii hasičství na území České republiky, o zastřešující organizaci českých, moravských a slezských dobrovolných hasičů a dále o Svatém Florianovi jako patronovi hasičů. Hlavním cílem práce je však popsat činnost sboru dobrovolných hasičů v obci Lubno nedaleko Nechanic z hlediska jejich přínosu pro kulturní a společenský život v obci. Zároveň je práce částečně komparací, neboť popisuje také činnost sboru dobrovolných hasičů přímo ve městě Nechanice a trochu porovnává tuto činnost se sborem z Lubna.

Abstract:

This thesis discusses the history of the fighters in the Czech Republic, the umbrella organization of Czech, Moravian and Silesian volunteer firefighters and the Holy Florian as a patron of firefighters. The main objective is to describe the activities of volunteer firemen in the village Lubno near Nechanice in terms of their contribution to the cultural and social life in the village. At the same time the work is part of the comparison, because it describes the activities of a volunteer fire brigade in the city Nechanice and a little compares this work with the choir of Lubno.
