FACT model as a way of working with people with mental illness.

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám problematikou změn v oblasti péče o osoby s duševním onemocněním. Ať už jde o změny plánované nebo již realizované, ale především ty nezbytně nutné. Popisuji možnosti změn, které proběhly v zahraničí a staly se příkladem pro fungování u nás. Především pak metodu práce nazvanou FACT model, kterou již více než 15 let úspěšně praktikují v Holandsku. Neměli bychom zapomínat, že nejvíce se změny dotýkají klientů a jejich názory by měly hrát klíčovou roli při změnách v psychiatrické péči. Zvolila jsem metodu kvantitativního výzkumu formou dotazníků cílených na klienty Fokusu Liberec, kteří si prošli nebo procházejí léčbou duševního onemocnění. Z výsledků vyplývá, jak jsou klienti s pomocí a podporou organizace Fokus Liberec spokojeni a hodnotí změny, které proběhly v poslední době a vyjadřují se k potřebám, které mají a kde potřebují nejvíce podpory.

Abstract:

In my Bachelor thesis I deal with the problematics of changes in the area of care of mentally ill people. Either these changes are planned or already realized, but mainly those that are really necessary. I describe possibilities of changes that were done abroad and happened the example for working here. I especially describe the method of work called FACT model, which has been being practised successfully least for 15 years in the Netherlands. We should not forget that changes touch clients most, so their opinions should play a key role in changes in the psychiatric care. I have chosen the method of a quantitative research using questionnaires aimed at the clients of Fokus Liberec who went or go through a mental illness therapy. It results from the outcomes how the clients are satisfied with help and support of the Fokus Liberec organization and how they evaluate the changes that have gone through and they also comment on the needs they have and where they need most support.
