Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou genderové stereotypy na střední škole. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na objasnění pojmů jako jsou gender, genderová socializace, genderové role a genderové stereotypy. Práce se dále zabývá genderovými stereotypy ve vzdělávání a zkoumá je hned z několika aspektů. Tato kapitola se tak zaměřuje zvlášť na studenty a studentky, pedagogický sbor a učebnice. Práce také zmiňuje problematiku genderově citlivé výuky a snaží se nabídnout tipy pro její uplatnění v praxi. Poslední kapitolou teoretické části je téma sexismu, jenž s genderovou problematikou a celou prací velmi úzce souvisí. Praktická část je věnována výzkumu, který se týká genderových stereotypů na středních školách v České republice. Pro práci byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum v podobě dotazníku. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, jestli studenti a studentky vnímají genderové stereotypy objevující se v jejich školním prostředí a v rámci výuky. Z tohoto důvodu byla zvolena hypotéza ve znění: Studenti/Studentky vnímají genderové stereotypy ze strany učitelů/učitelek v prostředí školy a v rámci výuky. Tato hypotéza byla následně prostřednictvím shromážděných výsledků výzkumu potvrzena. Celá práce si dává za cíl objasnit pojmy z oblasti genderu a pomoci tak k porozumění tohoto tématu, jenž se stává celosvětovým fenoménem.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is gender stereotypes in middle school. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of the terms gender, gender socialization, gender roles and gender stereotypes. The thesis centres around gender stereotypes in education from various kinds of aspects, such as students, teachers and even schoolbooks. This thesis also touches upon gender-sensitive teaching and offers tips on how to use it in practice. The last chapter is about the topic of sexism, which closely relates to gender problems and the whole thesis. The practical part of the thesis consists of research on gender stereotypes in middle schools in the Czech Republic. I chose quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire. The research aimed to find out if students are aware of gender stereotypes in their school environment. The hypothesis for the research is: Students are aware of gender stereotypes created by teachers in their school environment. This hypothesis has been consequently confirmed thanks to the questionnaire results. Overall, this thesis aims to clarify the terms surrounding gender and to help understand gender as a global phenomenon.
