Abstract:

Rostlinné buňky obsahují propracovaný systém buněčných membránových struktur, které zajišťují oddělení jejich funkcí a chemického složení v čase a prostoru. Jejich udržování a vzájemnou komunikaci zajišťuje především vezikulární transport. Vedle tohoto mechanizmu mohou některé endomembránové oddíly nebo jejich domény získat nové znaky a následně tak změnit svoji identitu. V prvních dvou kapitolách této práce jsou popsány zásady biogeneze endomembránových struktur a mechanizmy jejich vzájemné komunikace, se zaměřením na Arabidopsis thaliana jako hlavní modelový organizmus v rostlinné buněčné biologii. Třetí kapitola představuje současné metody a postupy užívané ve výzkumu rostlinných endomembrán. Čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena na specifické role endomembránového systému v odpovědích rostlin na abiotické a biotické stresy.

Abstract:

Plant cells contain a sophisticated system of membrane-limited subcellular compartments that guarantee a spatial-temporal separation of their specific functions and chemical compositions. The maintenance and communication between these compartments are predominantly mediated by vesicular trafficking. In addition to this process, certain endomembrane compartments or their subdomains may acquire novel characteristics and subsequently mature into distinct identities. In its first two chapters, this work describes principles of biogenesis of endomembrane compartments and mechanisms of communication between them, with focus on Arabidopsis thaliana as an unparalleled model organism in plant cell biology. The third chapter presents current methods and approaches utilized in the plant endomembrane research. Finally, the fourth chapter discusses specific roles of the endomembrane system in plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses.
