Theory and Practice of Cash Payment System

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je věnována hotovostnímu platebnímu styku. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř hlavních kapitol. První tři kapitoly jsou teoretické, vypracované za pomoci odborné literatury a internetových zdrojů. Čtvrtá kapitola je převážně praktická. V teoretické části je poskytnut přehled o hotovostním platebním styku z obecného hlediska, z hlediska historie, právní úpravy, peněz v ČR, pravidel pro nakládání s hotovostí a hotovostních operací v EU. Praktická část je zaměřena na komparaci poplatků u vybraných bank, hotovostní operace, podvody a na průzkum s využitím dotazníku. Cílem práce je poskytnout souhrnný přehled o hotovostním platebním styku v ČR a EU, zhodnotit roli ČNB a obchodních bank v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis studies the cash payment system. It is divided into four chapters. The first three ones are of a theoretical nature and contain a compilation of the literature and online resources. The fourth chapter's focus is mainly practical. The theoretical part provides an overview of the cash payment system from the general viewpoints of history, law, money in the Czech Republic, regulations on handling cash, and cash payment regulations within the EU. The practical part compares fees charged by different banks, cash operations, frauds, and a questionnaire survey. The goal of this Thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on the cash payment systems in the Czech Republic and in the EU, and assess the role of the Czech National Bank as well as commercial banks in the relevant area.
