Analysis of financial accounting according to the Czech law, and didactic support for its teaching

Abstract:

Předložená práce zaměřenou na pět dílčích účetních problematik. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V první části jsou charakterizovány vybrané účetní oblasti, konkrétně účetní závěrka, audit, forenzní účetnictví, kreativní účetnictví a finanční analýza. Problematika účetní závěrky a finanční analýzy je doplněna o praktický příklad. Popis účetních problematik by měl čtenáři poskytnout základní přehled o sledovaných jevech. Ve druhé části práce věnuje analýze možností vzdělávání s ohledem na výběr konkrétních účetních oblastí. K dispozici je také komparace vyučované látky týkající se účetnictví na Obchodní akademii v Plzni a na Fakultě ekonomické Západočeské univerzity v Plzni, dále komparace učiva v rámci systému certifikace účetních od Institutu certifikace účetních, a.s. a v rámci vybraných předmětů na Fakultě ekonomické Západočeské univerzity v Plzni. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty možnosti vzdělávání v účetní oblasti.

Abstract:

The present thesis focuses on five accounting-related issues, and is divided into two parts. The first part describes selected accounting issues, specifically financial statements, audit, forensic accounting, creative accounting, and financial analysis. Practical examples are included in the presentation of financial statements and financial analysis. The description of accounting issues serves as a basic overview. The second part of the thesis discusses the options of training in accounting, and compares the curricula of accounting courses at High School of Business in Plzeň and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. Furthermore, this part compares the accounting courses in the programme of certification for accountants by Institut certifikace účetních, a.s. and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. The concluding part summarizes the opportunities for training in accounting.
