Current economic relationship between United States and Latin America

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o současných ekonomických vztazích USA a zemí Latinské Ameriky. První kapitola je věnována popisu regionu Latinské Ameriky a jeho obchodním vztahům s USA. Dále se zde nachází krátké shrnutí historického vývoje a zapojení Spojených států amerických do něj. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na vybrané země Latinské Ameriky a jejich bilaterální obchodní vztahy s USA. Konrétně jde o Brazílii, Kolumbii a Chile. Většina této kapitoly je věnována vzájemnému obchodu zbožím a službami. Je v ní zmíněno i investiční prostředí, přímé zahraniční investice a jejich vliv na vybrané země.

Abstract:

This thesis is about current economic relationship between United States and Latin America. The first chapter describes region of Latin America and his economic relationship with the U.S. Furthermore there is a short summary of the historical development of regional integration. The second chapter is focused on three particular countries: Brazil, Colombia and Chile. It explains their bilateral relationship with the United States and describes merchandise trade and trade in services. Investment climate and direct foreign investments are also mentioned in this chapter.
