Professional ethics of publishers and booksellers

Abstract:

Cílem práce je podat analýzu etického a především neetického chování českých knihkupců a nakladatelů. V první části uvádím teoretická východiska, kterými jsou etika, jako výklad mravnosti a morálky, základy profesní a podnikatelské etiky, profesní etika jako prostředek regulace chování. Dále se zabývám etickými kodexy a především jejich sestavením a implementací do podnikatelské oblasti. Ve druhé části mé práce řeším problematiku etických kodexů českých knihkupců a nakladatelů. Jako hlavní problém neetického chování českých knihkupců a nakladatelů uvádím Kauzu Mein Kampf, která před pár lety otřásla naší společností. Tuto kauzu analyzuji a předkládám argumenty uznávaných novinářů, historiků a vědců. Na závěr představuji další případy neetického chování v dané oblasti. Práce je doplněna navrženým etickým kodexem pro české knihkupce a nakladatele

Abstract:

The aim of this text is to bring an analysis of ethics and especially unethical behaviour of Czech publishers and booksellers. In the first part I mention theoretical data, which refers to the elements of ethics, the main themes of which are moral phenomena, the basic of professional and entrepreneurial ethics, professional ethics as an instrument for behaviour regulation. Then I consider ethic codices and above all their formation and implementation to a entrepreneurial sphere. In the second part of my work I deal with the issue of ethic codices of Czech publishers and booksellers. As the main proposition of unethical behaviour of Czech publishers and booksellers I state the Mein Kampf cause, which shook our society few years ago. I analyze this cause and I render arguments of reputable journalists, historians and scientists about it. In the end I introduce other cases of unethical behaviour in this area. The text itself is supplemented with ethic codice designed for Czech publishers and booksellers
