Abstract:

Žižkovské galerie nejsou nijak institucionálně zaštítěné, ale v poslední době se začínají společně formovat. Přesto jsou více sousedským společenstvím, které se přirozeně koncipovalo v posledních deseti letech. Cílem této práce je zachytit aktuální stav a vyzdvihnout výjimečnost tohoto galerijního vzorku. V práci jsou mapovány jednotlivé tvůrčí projevy žižkovské galerijní scény, na kterých se pokouším vystihnout podstatu a obecnější zákonitosti jednotlivých typů galerií. Text práce otevírá problémy galerijního provozu a snaží se čtenáři poskytnout srozumitelný výklad o možnostech fungování galeríí. Uchopit přítomné je vždy problematické, neboť vývoj je v neustálém pohybu, proto je nutné chápat shromážděný materiál jako úvod do kontextu fungování žižkovské scény bez nároku na jeho úplnost.

Abstract:

Although galleries in the Prague's district Žižkov are not under the auspices of official Czech cultural institutions, they have recently begun to form an identity of their own and to thrive. Nevertheless, they have until now remained more of a neighborhood community that has naturally been established in the last ten years. The objective of this thesis is to capture the current state of the Žižkov gallery district and to highlight the extraordinariness of this gallery sample. Thus, in this work the individual creative manifestations of Žižkov gallery scene are closely mapped in order to grasp their cultural essence and to outline more general scientific conclusions regarding the individual galleries and the cultural district on the whole. The paper analyzes the difficulties of gallery management and seeks to provide the reader with a clear explanation of the possibilities of functioning of galleries in the current gallery. Analyzing the present is always problematic, as the evolution of a gallery scene is in a constant motion. It is therefore necessary to understand this thesis as an introduction to the context of the management and functioning of the Žižkov gallery scene without claiming its completeness.
