Policeman in multicultural society

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Policista v multikulturním prostředí" nám představí různé sociální, kulturní a etické aspekty, se kterými se policista může během své praxe setkávat. V této práci není řešena konkrétní situace, zaměření je hlavně na národnostní menšinu Romů, která je v naší České republice nejrozšířenější. I tento obor má svou historii, která stojí za zmínku. Policie se vyvíjela stejně jako multikultura v naší zemi. Obě probíhaly ve dlouhodobé fázi. Práci lze použít jako informační servis pro začínající policisty, ale i lidi, kteří jeví zájem v této oblasti se zdokonalovat. Je zde popsána terminologie, která může pomoci objasnit některé pojmy k danému tématu. Úloha policie v současné době v naší republice je složitá, pro laika někdy až neřešitelná, ovšem stále se musí dodržovat všechna pravidla etiky, která nesmějí být porušována za žádnou cenu. Prevence v tomto oboru, je taktéž důležitá jakožto v jiných odvětvích.

Abstract:

The thesis "Policeman in multicultural society" presents different social, cultural and ethic aspects, which can be met by a policeman in his profession. There is no particular situation solved in this thesis. It is focused mainly on the national minority of Romanies which is the most widespread in the Czech Republic. This sphere has its own history which is worth mentioning. Police developed just like multiculture in this country. Both of them proceeded in long-term phase. The thesis can be used as informative service for police beginners and also for people who are interested in improving themselves in that sphere. There is described terminology which can help to clear up some terms concerning the topic. The role of police in this country is presently very complicated, it is even unsolvable for nonspecialist sometimes, but ethic rules must be adhered and they cannot be broken at no price. Prevention in this sphere is as important as in other branches.
