The History of the Vídeňská Street Primary Girls' School from 1918 to 1938

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá dějinami vybrané obecné dívčí školy na ulici Vídeňská. Cílem práce je popsat a přiblížit chod dívčí obecné školy na ulici Vídeňská v období první republiky. Teoretická část práce popisuje nápravu školství v letech 1918 až 1938 a snahy učitelstva o další reformy. Během výzkumu mi byla stěžejním zdrojem dochovaná kronika, ze které jsem čerpala informace o škole, využity byly i další archiválie z archivu města Brna. Tato práce předkládá dějiny školy ve zkoumaném období.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the history of a primary girls´ school on Vídeňská street. The aim of this thesis is to describe the course of the primary girls´ school on the Vídeňská street in the first Czechoslovak republic. The theoretical basis of the work closely describes the correction of education between the years 1918 and 1938 and efforts of teachers for further reforms. My main source during the research was the preserved school chronicle, from which I drew information about the school, oth-er archives from the archive of the city of Brno were also used. This thesis presents the history of the school in the examined period.
