Abstract:
Williamsův syndrom je geneticky podmíněná porucha, postihující svého nositele v mnoha oblastech. Patří mezi takzvané mikrodeleční syndromy. Je způsoben takzvanou delecí 7. chromozómu. To znamená, že v dané oblasti chybí část genetického materiálu zahrnující zhruba 20 genů. Lidé s Williamsovým syndromem se rodí přibližně jednou na 7500 porodů. Abstract:
William’s syndrome is a genetically contingent disorder, affecting its holders in many areas. It belongs into so-called micro-deleting syndromes. It is caused by the deletion of 7th chromosome. This means that in the specific area of DNA is missing a part of genetic material, including around 20 genes. People with the Williams syndrome are born approximately one of the 7500 births.
