The influence of used methodology on the success in tests of readiness in math to attend grammar school.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem používané metodiky na úspěšnost při řešení testu zjišťujících připravenost z matematiky na víceletá gymnázia. Nejprve je v této práci popsána věková kategorie žáků, kteří byli testováni, jsou popsány strategie učení a také velmi častý školní neúspěch, který snižuje motivaci žáků k učení. Práce pojednává o kontextové podmíněnosti metakognice v matematice, její vliv na správnost řešení matematických úloha popisuje specifika metakognice u žáků na základní škole. Teoretická část se zabývá také důležitostí problémového výkladu a popisuje vyučované metodiky na základních školách Hejného, klasickou metodu vyučování a Montessori. Na základě vymezení teoretických východisek zkoumané problematiky předkládá empirický výzkum testování žáků 5. tříd. V praktické části jsme se zaměřili na výběr vhodných výzkumných nástrojů a rozdíl mezi didaktickými testy a dotazníkem, dále jsme popsali průběh sběru dat, kterému předcházelo pilotní testování a vybrání vhodných respondentů. Po ukončení sběru dat jsme provedli statistickou analýzu dat a na základě zjištěných hodnot jsme potvrdili nebo zamítli hypotézy. Závěrem jsme odpověděli na náš výzkumný problém a porovnali naše zjištění s výsledky výzkumů z minulých let.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the influence of the methodology used of success in solving test of the readiness of mathematics at grammar schools. First is described the age category of students who were tested, are described learning strategies and very often school failure, which reduces the motivation of pupils to learn. It discusses the context of cross metacognition in mathematics and its influence on the accuracy of solving mathematical problems and describes the specifics of metacognition for elementary school students. It explains the important role of problematic interpretation methods in teaching and its structure.There is also described the methodology taught in primary schools - Hejný, the classic method and Montessori teaching. Based on the theoretic resources issues examined presents empirical research testing 5th grade students. In the practical part we focused on the selection of appropriate research tools and the difference between didactic tests and questionnaires, we also describe the progress of data collection, which was preceded by pilot testing and selecting appropriate respondents. Upon completion of data collection we performed statistical analysis and based on the values we confirm or reject the hypothesis. Finally, we have responded to our research problem and compare our findings with research results from previous years.
