Activating activities in a retirement home

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se bude zabývat aktivizačními činnostmi v domově pro seniory. Teoretická část bude v úvodu pojednávat o stárnutí, stáří a o změnách, které jsou se stářím spojené. Dále bude práce orientována na aktivizaci seniorů a aktivizační činnosti, s nimiž jsou spojené přínosy a také některá rizika. Pozornost bude věnována vybranému domovu pro seniory a zaměřena zejména na aktivizační činnosti, zde klientům poskytované. Klienti budou zároveň dotázáni, jak oni sami tyto aktivity využívají a jaká je náplň jejich volného času. Práce si klade za cíl zjistit pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů nabízené aktivizační činnosti, navrhnout efektivnější možnosti pro zapojení více klientů do těchto aktivit na základě jejich potřeb a zjištění případných nedostatků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis will deal with activation activities in a home for the elderly. The theoretical part will start by discussing ageing, old age and the changes that are associated with old age. Furthermore, the thesis will be oriented towards the activation of the elderly and the activation activities that have benefits and also some risks associated with them. Attention will be paid to a selected home for the elderly and will focus in particular on the activation activities provided to the clients there. Clients will also be asked how they themselves use these activities and what is the content of their free time. The thesis aims to find out through semi-structured interviews the activation activities offered, to suggest more effective ways to involve more clients in these activities based on their needs and to identify any gaps.
