Expletive pronominal dative case in current spanish language

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to study and analyze the dative case in selected literary works. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part deals with personal pronouns, their morphology and their syntactic properties. We also focus on Spanish segment 'se' and its paradigmatic and syntagmatic role. In the next part we occupy with the dative of interest and we provide classification and definitions by different linguists. The last chapter is devoted to the colloquial Spanish with the reference to the syntax of Spanish expletive dative case. The practical part is dedicated to the analysis of the expletive dative case and its classification. The analysis is performed on a corpus, which consists of a total of 697 examples extracted from the eight literary works, which four of them are Spanish and four of them are Latin American. The main objective of this work is to identify and demonstrate on examples how frequent is the occurrence of this dative and its proportional classification by the type. The result of our work is the finding that the dative of interest predominates by the number of frequency followed by emotional dative and at the same time the numbers of cases of dative of interest and emotional dative is almost identical in the Latin American works.

Cílem této diplomové práce je studium a analýza expletivního dativu ve vybraných literárních dílech. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: části teoretické a části praktické. V teoretické části se zabýváme osobními zájmeny, jejich morfologií a jejich vlastnostmi sytaktickými. Dále se zaměřujeme na španělský segment "se" a na jeho paradigmatickou a syntagmatickou funkci. V další části se zabýváme dativem zájmovým a chronologicky uvádíme definice a dělení tohoto dativu různými gramatiky. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována hovorové španělštině s přihlédnutím na syntax španělského expletivního dativu v hovorové španělštině. Praktická část je věnována analýze expletivního dativu a jeho dělení. Analýza je prováděna na korpusu, který je tvořen celkem 697 příklady excerpovanými z osmi literárních děl, z nichž čtyři díla jsou napsaná španělskými autory a čtyří díla autory latinskoamerickými. Hlavním cílem této práce je zjistit a doložit na příkladech, jak četný je výskyt těchto dativů a jeho procentuální rozdělení podle typu. Výsledkem naší práce je zjištění, že převažuje dativ zájmový, který je následován dativem emotivním, přičemž počet dativů zájmových a dativů emotivních je v textech latinskoamerických autorů téměř totožný.
