Abstract:
Jakožto společenské bytosti se denně, mnohdy aniž bychom si to uvědomovali, setkáváme se zdvořilostí – ať už v jazyce či mimo něj. Hovoříme-li česky, tvoří jazykový aspekt této zdvořilosti princip vykání a tykání, tedy změny singuláru v plurál. As social beings, we experience politeness every day, often without even noticing it – as a part of our language or otherwise. When speaking Czech, the language aspect is what we call tykání and vykání – the change of singular to plural. The system as this one is, however, not universal.
