Czech accounting legislation in the context of intended changes

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá přípravou nových účetních právních předpisů v České republice. V práci je provedena analýza a komparace navrhovaných změn se stávající účetní legislativou u vybraných oblastí, kterými je zejména problematika koncepčního rámce účetnictví, vymezení účetních jednotek a jejich účetní závěrka. Cílem diplomové práce je představit a zhodnotit úpravy a navrhnout či doplnit skutečnosti, které by vedly k jejich zkvalitnění. Součástí je rovněž rozbor dopadu zamýšlených změn na zákon o daních z příjmů, zejména potřeba konkrétních modifikací jeho ustanovení při přijetí výsledku hospodaření stanoveného v souladu s Mezinárodními standardy účetního výkaznictví jako východiska pro základ daně z příjmů právnických osob.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the preparation of new accounting legislation in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyzes and compares the proposed changes in existing accounting legislation in some selected areas, mainly the issues of the conceptual framework of accounting, the definition of accounting entities and their financial statements. The aim of the thesis is to present and evaluate the modifications and to suggest or supplement the facts that would lead to their improvement. It also includes an analysis of the impact of the intended changes on the Income Tax Law, in particular the need for specific modifications when adopting the profit or loss determined in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards as a basis for corporate income tax.
