Ethical rules and investment

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce si klade za jeden z cílů nelezení důvodů pro zavádění etických pravidel v oblasti investování. Dalším cílem je popis současných iniciativ zabývajících se tématem etiky na kapitálovém trhu. Cílem třetí části je pak zhodnocení etických pravidel náboženství z pohledu investic a zhodnocení sociálně odpovědného investování. Poté praktická ukázka investičních instrumentů tohoto charakteru. Cílem je také alespoň částečně zmapovat preference investorů a potenciálních investorů pomocí provedeného výzkumu. Pro naplnění těchto cílů bylo nejprve využito studium literatury a webových příspěvků souvisejících s tématem a následně byl proveden výzkum. V rámci závěrů ze zdrojové literatury lze říci, že spojení etiky a investování je žádoucí a pomáhá oběma oblastem. Dále bylo zmapováno fungování aktuálních iniciativ a vypsány některé možnosti eticky korektních investic. Provedená analýza výsledků a z ní vycházející závěry pak ukazují, že preference respondentů se odkloňují od neetických odvětví a naopak přiklánějí k etičtějším odvětvím.

Abstract:

The first goal of this thesis is found out the reasons for the implementation of ethical rules in the field of investment. Another aim is to introduce current initiatives of this ethical issues on the capital market. The third part analyze religious ethical rules from the perspective of investment and in case of social and responsible investment. Next part contain practical demonstration of this investment instruments and the last goal is to expose investors preferences through my own research. To meet these objectives, first thing was studying current literature and web sources related to the topic and subsequently conducted research. In the case of the literature sources we can make a conclusion that the combination of ethics and investment is eligible and helps in both areas. It was also examined the functioning of current ethical initiatives and listed some options of ethically right investments. My own research and analysis clearly demonstrate that respondents preferences move from unethical industry towards to more ethical one.
