Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Obraz, slovo, bod“ se skládá ze dvou částí – praktického výtvarného díla a teoretického textového doprovodu. Praktická část sestává z velkoformátového taktilního obrazu, ve kterém je pomocí Braillova písma a slovního přepisu barevných ploch zakódována impresionistická malba „Japonská zahrada“ od Claude Moneta. Originální malba byla při svém zrodu ovlivněna zrakovým postižením umělce. Obraz je na první pohled monochromní bílé plátno, které však v lehké struktuře bodů skrývá textové informace, dostupné primárně hmatem. Toto konceptuální dílo je reakcí na aktuální trendy zprostředkování umění lidem se zrakovým postižením. Textový doprovod je členěn do několika celků. První úsek práce se zabývá zrakovým postižením, zbylá část popisuje a hledá vzájemný vztah mezi jednotlivými prvky práce – obrazu, slova a bodu – s přihlédnutím k tématu zrakového postižení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis „Painting, word, point“ consists of two parts: a practical work of art and a theoretical accompanying text. The practical part consists of a large-format tactile painting which – by means of Braille and the transcription of coloured areas - encodes the impressionistic work “The Japanese Footbridge” by Claude Monet. The original painting was influenced by the artist’s visual impairment. While the painting seems to be a white monochromatic canvas there are textual information hidden in the fine structure of points which one can access with their sense of touch. This conceptual work is a reaction to the contemporary trends of mediating art to people with visual impairment. The accompanying text is sectioned into several parts. The first part deals with visual impairment, the rest describes and looks for a mutual relationship between individual aspects of this thesis – painting, word and point – with consideration to the topic of visual impairment.
