The Contact Features of Speech of the Moderator in the Political Discussion Programme Otázky Václava Moravce (Stylistic Approach)

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se soustředím na projevy dichotomie kontaktovosti v projevu moderátora politického diskusního pořadu Otázky Václava Moravce. Práce teoreticky vychází ze stylistického pojetí kontaktovosti, které je přizpůsobeno specifickému charakteru mediální komunikace. Pozornost je věnována zejména tomu, jakým způsobem moderátor komunikuje a navazuje kontakt s hosty ve studiu a s televizními diváky, kteří v dané komunikační situaci představují adresáty projevu. V této práci jde jednak o charakteristiku prostředků kontaktových, které moderátor užívá explicitně v kontaktu s hosty ve studiu, i o charakteristiku komunikačních strategií, které vyjadřují implicitně kontakt s televizními diváky.Komunikační strategie, kterými moderátor zohledňuje televizní diváky, se uplatňují v rámci komunikace moderátora s hosty ve studiu. Projev určený hostům ve studiu tudíž odráží dvojí intenci moderátora, dva komunikační záměry.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the contact features used in speech of the moderator of a political discussion programme Otázky Václava Moravce. In dealing with this issue, the stylistic approach was adopted that was modified with respect to the characteristics of media discourse and media communication. Special attention was paid to two groups of participants respectively - the viewers and the guests in the studio- who represent the addressees in the given communication model. The analysis itself focuses on the communication strategies by which the moderator contacts the viewers implicitly. These strategies are employed within the moderator's communication with the guests in the studio. While the guests themselves are addressed and contacted by the vehicles of expression which are considered to be expressed explicitly. This implies that the moderator's speech addressed to the guests reflects dual intention of the moderator.
