Prevention of Dental Caries in Healthcare Personnel

Abstract:

KRAUSOVÁ, Iva, DiS. Prevence zubního kazu u zdravotnických pracovníků. Vysoká škola zdravotnická, o. p. s. Stupeň kvalifikace: Bakalář (Bc.). Vedoucí práce: doc. MUDr. Lidmila Hamplová, PhD. Praha 2021. 85 stran. Tématem bakalářské práce je Prevence zubního kazu u zdravotnických pracovníků. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část práce stručně definuje anatomii dutiny ústní a zubu a historii zubního kazu. Stěžejním úsekem teoretické části práce je problematika zubního kazu, kdy charakterizuje aspekty tohoto onemocnění a popisuje preventivní opatření. V teoretické části práce je popsána etiologie zubního kazu, patogeneze, projevy, dělení, diagnostika, terapie a následky neošetřeného zubního kazu. Dále se zabývá prevencí ve stomatologii zaměřenou na zubní kaz, dentální hygienu, čištění zubů a popisuje problematiku odontofobie. Praktická část se zabývá vlastním kvantitativním průzkumným šetřením. Praktická část práce byla vypracována na základě vytvoření anonymního dotazníku, který byl následně distribuován ve 3 zdravotnických zařízeních cílové skupině respondentů. Jako cílová skupina respondentů byli zvoleni respondenti se zdravotnickým vzděláním. V praktické části je popsána metodika průzkumu, s následnou prezentací zjištěných informací v oblasti prevence zubního kazu. Zjištěné informace jsou znázorněné číselnými a procentuálními hodnotami v tabulkách a grafech, doprovázené komentáři. V závěru bakalářské práce se nachází analýza zjištěných informací, shrnutí výsledků průzkumného šetření a jsou zde formulována doporučení pro praxi.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the prevention of dental caries in healthcare personnel. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the work briefly defines the anatomy of the oral cavity and tooth and the history of dental caries. The main section of the theoretical part of the work is the issue of dental caries, which characterizes aspects of this disease and describes preventive measures. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the etiology of dental caries, pathogenesis, manifestations, division, diagnosis, therapy, and consequences of untreated dental caries. It also deals with prevention in dentistry focused on tooth decay, dental hygiene, teeth cleaning and describes the issue of odontophobia. The practical part deals with its own quantitative exploratory survey. The practical part of the work was based on the creation of an anonymous questionnaire, which was then distributed in 3 medical facilities to the target group of respondents. Respondents with medical education were chosen as the target group of respondents. The practical part describes the research methodology, followed by the presentation of the information obtained in the field of dental caries prevention. The information obtained is represented by numerical and percentage values in tables and graphs, accompanied by comments. At the end of the bachelor's thesis, there is an analysis of the information obtained, a summary of the results of the survey and there are recommendations for practice.
