This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the epigenome and the possibilities of its use in clinical practice through the CRISPR/Cas9 technology. The thesis summarizes the knowledge about the epigenome and its role in cellular regulation and emphasizes the potential of epigenetic changes for the development of new therapeutic approaches.
