The Post-War Expulsion of the Germans from the Žacléř Region and Its Economic Impacts

The aim of this thesis is to picture the post-war expulsion of Germans from Žacléř and surrounding villages, as well as its economic impact on the entire region. The author compares economic situation of the region before and after the expulsion and examines both direct and long-term economic consequences till nowadays. Abstract:
Cílem práce je zmapování poválečného odsunu Němců ze Žacléře a okolních měst a vesnic a jeho důsledků na hospodářství celé této oblasti. Autorka porovná ekonomickou situaci regionu před odsunem a po něm a zjistí jeho bezprostřední i dlouhodobé hospodářské následky až po současnou dobu. Součástí práce bude rovněž i orální historie, zachycení svědectví pamětníků, kteří odsun v této oblasti zažili.
