Children´s pain like a nursing problem.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit informovanost sester o hodnotících metodách bolesti v pediatrii a zkušenosti sester s jejich využíváním. Teoretická část popisuje historii bolesti, dělení, patofyziologii, diagnostiku a léčbu dětské bolesti a také hodnocení dětské bolesti. Praktická část popisuje výsledky výzkumu prováděného na dětských odděleních ve třech největších nemocnicích v Ostravě. Cíle práce: Zjistit informovanost sester o hodnotících metodách bolesti v pediatrii a zkušenosti sester s jejich užíváním. Zjistit, jakým způsobem sestry hodnotí bolest u dětských pacientů. Zjistit postoj sester k předloženým škálám bolesti. Zjistit, zda by sestry souhlasily s používáním nových škál bolesti u dětí v praxi. Z výzkumu vyplynulo, že sestry jsou informované o hodnotících metodách v pediatrii a bolest u dětských pacientů hodnotí. K hodnocení bolesti používají standardizované škály. Předložené škály bolesti sestry používaly a byly s jejich používáním spokojeny. Sestry většinou souhlasily s používáním nových škál bolesti u dětí v praxi.

Abstract:

Objective of master thesis was to find out the informedness of nurses about evaluation´s methods in pediatry and practices of nurses with using of this methods. Theoretical part describes genesis of pain, division, pathophysiology, diagnostic and treatment of pain and also evaluation of pain. Practical part describes outcomes of research which was execute in pediatric wards of three biggest hospitals in Ostrava. Objectives of diploma thesis: Find out the informedness of nurses about evaluation´s methods in pediatry and practices of nurses with using of this methods. Find out how do the nurses evaluate children ´s pain. Find out the position of nurses about submitted pain scales. Find out if nurses wolud agree with using of new pain scales for children in their profession. From my research resulted that nurses have good informations about evaluation methods of pain in pediatry and that they evaluate children´s pain. They mostly use standardized pain scales for evaluation of children´s pain. Nurses used pain scales which were offer to them and they were satisfied with using of this scales. Bigger part of nurses agreed with using new pain scales for children at their work experience.
