Czech politics in the region of Brno in the mirror of elections into the Moravian Provincial Parliament and Imperial Council between years 1861-1891

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce pojednává o počátcích občanského politického života na Brněnsku. Prostřednictvím výsledků zemských a říšských voleb, konaných v letech 1861-1891 ve městech Ivančice a Tišnov a na venkově, který tato města obklopuje, sleduje první kroky české politiky v daném regionu. Práce se zabývá stranami, které proti sobě při volbě stály, jejich argumentací a způsobem přesvědčování voličů, a představuje konkrétní kandidáty. Všímá si i dalších faktorů, které ovlivňovaly výsledky voleb a zaznamenává pochopitelně volební výsledky samotné. Ty jsou pro přehled uvedeny také v tabulkách, které tvoří důležitou součást práce. Všechny tyto informace pak vytváří obraz vývoje české regionální politiky na Brněnsku v prvních třiceti ústavních letech.

Abstract:

This thesis discusses the origins of civil political life in the region of Brno. By the medium of results of elections into the Provincial Parliament and Imperial Council between years 1861-1891 in towns Ivančice and Tišnov and their country-side, this work observes the first steps of local czech politics. The thesis deals with the parties standing against each other in the elections and their argumentation and presents concrete candidates. It mentions also other factors which influenced the election resultes and provides the election results themselves.These are in charts too as an important part of the work. All the information creates a picture of progress of czech politics in the region of Brno during the first thirty constitutional years.
