Abstract:
This thesis deals with the novel Everything Is Illuminated written by Jonathan Safran Foer. The aim of this thesis is to point out the connection between the two storylines. The chapters set in post-war reality in Ukraine and the chapters, which describe the history of the shtetl Trachimbrod are analysed by interpreting different themes appearing in the novel.Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá románem Jonathana Safrana Foera Naprosto osvíceno. Cílem této bakalářské práce je poukázat na sepjetí dvou dějových linek románu. Za použití tematické analýzy jsou rozebrány kapitoly zasazené do poválečné přítomnosti na Ukrajině a kapitoly, které obsahují minulost štetlu Trachimbrod.
