Population growth of the Central Bohemian Region and its reflection in strategic development documents

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice populačního růstu Středočeského kraje, jeho okresů a měst. Na úvod seznamuje čtenáře se samotným krajem z hlediska jeho fyzicko-geografických a socioekonomických charakteristik, následuje porovnání s ostatními kraji, administrativní členění a sídelní struktura kraje. Nejdůležitější část se věnuje samotné analýze populačního růstu na úrovni kraje, okresů a měst. Cílem práce je zhodnotit současný demografický vývoj Středočeského kraje a jeho reflexi ve strategických rozvojových dokumentech kraje a vybraných měst.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of population growth of the Central Bohemian Region, its districts and cities. At the beginning, it acquaints the reader with the region itself in terms of its physical-geographical and socio-economic characteristics, followed by a comparison with other regions, the administrative division and the settlement structure of the region. The most important part is devoted to the analysis of population growth at the level of the region, its districts and cities. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the current demographic development of the Central Bohemian Region and its reflection in the strategic development documents of the region and selected cities.
