International trade in military material of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je Mezinárodní obchod vojenského materiálu České republiky. Na počátku je popsána právní úpravu exportu těchto produktů a jejich klasifikace. Práce se poté zabývá historickým významem zbrojního průmyslu ve světě, ale i v České republice. Nejedná se pouze o jeho roli, ale zaměřuje se taktéž na různé situace, které poptávku a výrobu tohoto druhu zboží ovlivnily. Práce též zmiňuje významné podniky tohoto odvětví jak ve světě, tak v České republice. Podstatnou částí z celé práce je analýza mezinárodního obchodu ČR vybraných produktů spadajících pod vojenský materiál, která bude provedena pomocí ukazatelů importu, exportu, obratu, bilance, dále indexem obchodní bilance a indexem krytí importu exportem. Komparativní výhoda je znázorněna graficky pomocí Lafayova indexu. Pomocí těchto indikátorů bude znázorněna ČR jako exportér, který se v posledních letech uplatňuje na zahraničních trzích.

Abstract:

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is International trade in military material of the Czech Republic. At the beginning the legal regulation of the export of these products and their classification is described. The work then deals with the historical signifi-cance of the arms industry in the world, but also in the Czech Republic. It is not only about its role, but also focuses on various situations, that have affected the demand and production of this type of goods. The work also mentions important companies in this sector, both and the world and in the Czech Republic. An essential part of the whole work is analysis of the international trade of the Czech Republic selected products be-longs under military material, which will be performed using indicators of import, export, sales, balance, trade balance index and trade coverage index. The comparative advantage is shown graphically using the Lafay index. With these indicators, the Czech Republic will be represented as an exporter that has been active on foreign mar-kets in recent years.
