Práce se zaměřuje na proměnu vnímání těla žen po porodu. Porod je zde chápán jako počátek mateřství. V teoretické části zpracovává koncepty sebepojetí, identity, body image a mateřství. Praktická část je koncipovaná jako narativní výzkum, jehož cílem je především porozumět zkušenosti žen s proměnou jejich vnímání na cestě k mateřství. The work focuses on the transformation of the body image of women after childbirth. Childbirth is seen as the beginning of motherhood. The theoretical part presents the concepts of the processes self, identity, body image and motherhood.
