This thesis deals in general with public political speeches and its specifics related to the translation from German to Czech. The goal of this thesis is to translate three selected speeches of Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurz given during different stages of the so-called first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Abstract:
Diplomová práce se obecně zabývá veřejnými politickými projevy a jejich specifiky, které zpravidla souvisejí s překladem z německého do českého jazyka. Cílem práce je překlad vybraných tří projevů rakouského kancléře Sebastiana Kurze v různých fázích tzv. první vlny pandemie koronaviru. V poslední kapitole jsou vybrané projevy v krátkosti analyzovány dle témat a dalších vybraných aspektů.
