The term "new woman" was first used by writer Sarah Grand to refer to independent women who want change. As part of this master's thesis, we will deal with the phe-nomenon of the new woman in the field of new media. We will observe the variability of this phenomenon in relation to the past but also describe the new woman of today. Termín „nová žena“ použila po prvýkrát spisovateľka Sarah Grand na označe-nie nezávislých žien túžiacich po zmene. V rámci tejto magisterskej diplomo-vej práce sa budeme zaoberať fenoménom novej ženy v oblasti nových médií.
