Conflict resolution through the mediation in social work

Abstract:

Cílem předložené dizertační práce je deskripce a analýza mediace jako alternativního způsobu řešení konfliktů v sociální práci. V teoretické části předložené práci je nejprve nabídnut nástin mediace v kontextu teoretických východisek, a dále pak je vymezena praktická aplikace této alternativní metody řešení konfliktů. V praktické části je pomoci kvalitativní metody individuálních moderovaných polostrukturovaných rozhovorů zjišťováno, zdali je možné v praxi sociálních pracovníků uplatnit mediační dovednosti a vymezit tak mediaci jako jednu z dovedností sociálního pracovníka.

Abstract:

Goal of this thesis is mediation description and its analysis as an alternative way to a conflict solving in social work. The thesis itself is divided into two main parts, theoretical part and a practical one. There are, in the first part a brief description of mediation in context of theory and a practical application of this alternative method is defined. In the second part of this thesis there is, by means of a quantitative method of individual structured interviews, investigated a possibility of using mediation skills in practice and mediation utilization as a one of more skills of a social worker.
