Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Intercultural Exchanges as a Part of Secondary Educational Programme" pojednává o výuce cizího jazyka a metodě, jak co nejefektivněji jeho výuku vést. Ve své práci se snažím poukázat na to, že učení se cizímu jazyku úzce souvisí také s kulturou, tradicemi a zvyky dané země. V samotné výuce tedy nejde jen o učení se gramatice, slovní zásobě či frázím. Žáci a studenti by měli v rámci svého studia získat co nejširší rozhled, znalosti a především porozumění v oblasti cílové kultury - tedy té, jejíž jazyk studují. Vzhledem k současnému vývoji a integraci zemí Evropy do společné unie, jejímž členem se stala také Česká republika, se však ukazuje, že znalost pouze jednoho jazyka a jedné kutury nestačí. Do popředí se dostává nutnost vytváření multikulturní kompetence, jež by se měla stát součástí všech vzdělávacích programů. V praktické části své práce popisuji metodu projektové výuky, která má za cíl poskytnout žákům možnost učení se cizím jazykům přímou zkušeností s kulturním prostředím dané země. Tato metoda vychází z mé vlastní pedagogické práce a její úspěšnost dokládá materiál, který je součástí přílohy práce.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis "Intercultural Exchanges as a Part of Secondary Educational Programme" deals with teaching foreign languages and a method based on how to teach languages effectively. In my work I am trying to show that learning a foreign language is tightly connected with culture, tradition and habits of the country in question. The teaching itself contains much more than mere learning grammar, vocabulary or phrases. The pupils and students gain an outlook, knowledge and mainly understanding in the area of the target culture. It is obvious, however, with respect to the integration of European Union countries that the knowledge of just one language is not sufficient. The multilingual competence is becoming more and more important and essential for creation of all the educational programmes at the same time. In the practical part of my work I am trying to describe a project teaching method the goal of which is to provide the students with a direct experience with the target cultural environment. This method issues from my own teaching practice the success of which is also proved by material available in the enclosure of the work.
