Self-regulated learning of university students during the exam period

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumat a popsat jaké strategie seberegulovaného učení využívají vysokoškolští studenti během zkouškového období. Teoretická část poskytuje informace pro porozumění kontextu seberegulovaného učení. Empirická část obsahuje popis výzkumu a odpovídá na hlavní výzkumnou otázku – Jaké strategie seberegulovaného učení využívají vysokoškolští studenti během zkouškového období? Na základě výzkumu je popsáno několik strategií uplatňovaných v rámci významných oblastí seberegulovaného učení (time management, strategie učení, pro-středí, stanovení cílů, motivace a sebehodnocení), které významně ovlivňují proces učení. Výsledky této práce odkrývají situaci ohledně uplatňovaných strategiích sebe-regulovaného učení u českých vysokoškolských studentů a přispívá tak k diskuzi, jak podpořit studenty v jejich procesu učení.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to examine and describe what self-regulated learning strategies university student use during the exam period. The theoretical part of the thesis provides information for understanding the context of self-regulated learning. The empirical part contains a description of the research and answers the main research question – What self-regulated learning strategies do university students use during the exam period? Based on the research, several strategies applied in important areas of self-regulated learning (time management, learning strategies, environment, goal setting, motivation and self-assessment) are described, which significantly influence the learning process. The results of this bachelor’s thesis reveal the situation regarding the applied strategies of self-regulated learning for Czech university students and contribute to the discussion of how to support students in the learning process.
