Práce je věnována vývoji českého zdravotnictví v letech 1992 - 2012. Podává informace o současném stavu, změnách a nedostatcích se zaměřením na problematické oblasti ve zdravotnické legislativě, probíhající restrukturalizaci lůžkového fondu v ČR a na systémy úhrad za zdravotní péči, které jsou rozebrány a zhodnoceny v praktické části.
