Fundamentals of Programming and Creation of Algorithms in Primary Education.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá základy programování a tvorby algoritmů v primárním vzdělávání. Cílem práce je objasnit, jakým způsobem učitelé informatiky vyučují základy programování a tvorby algoritmů v primárním vzdělávání. Teoretická část popisuje vymezení pojmů algoritmizace, programování a algoritmus. V práci je také shrnuté algoritmické myšlení a možnosti jeho rozvoje skrze programovací jazyky, robotické hračky a další didaktické prostředky. Praktická část představuje výzkum, který byl realizován prostřednictvím kvalitativního typu výzkumu. Polostrukturované rozhovory byly realizovány s učiteli, kteří vyučují hodiny informatiky na 1. stupni základní školy. Všichni dotazovaní participanti byli z Olomouckého kraje. Výzkumná zjištění ukazují fakt, že se učitelé bez aprobace a učitelé s aprobací vyučovat informatiku nijak závažně od sebe neodlišují. Součástí závěrečné práce jsou prezentovány výsledky, které byly mezi s sebou komparovány. Doporučení do praxe, které je určené jak pro učitele na 1. stupni, tak pro učitele, kteří vyučují na 2. stupni základní školy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the basics of programming and algorithm creation in primary education. The aim of the work is to explain how computer science teachers teach the basics of programming and algorithm creation in primary education. The theoretical part describes the definition of the terms algorithmization, programming and algorithm. The paper also summarizes algorithmic thinking and the possibilities of its development through programming languages, robotic toys and other didactic means. The practical part presents the research that was carried out through a qualitative type of research.Semi-structured interviews were carried out with teachers who teach computer science classes at primary school level 1. All interviewed participants were from the Olomouc region. The research findings reveal the fact that teachers without an endorsement and teachers with an endorsement to teach computer science do not differ significantly from each other. The results that were compared with each other are presented as part of the final thesis. Recommendations for practice are made, both for teachers teaching at Key Stage 1 and for teachers teaching at Key Stage 2.
