The Moment of Creation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Okamžik tvorby“ pojednává o takovém druhu malby, ve kterém je proces tvorby a prožitek z něj důležitější než výsledné dílo. Svou tvorbu zasazuji do kontextu dějin umění, zabývám se tedy abstraktním expresionismem a akční malbou. Dále zmiňuji umělce, kteří hledí na dílo jako na záznam procesu tvorby, a přiblížím jejich techniky. Dalšími tématy budou prvky, které jsou charakteristické pro mou tvorbu. Do této kategorie spadá umělecká činnost z hlediska psychologie, technika a její znalost, čas a proces tvorby, barva, vyjadřování emocí a vztah náhody a řízenosti v tvorbě. Nejdůležitější částí teoretické práce jsou popisy technik, které užívám k docílení vyššího prožitku z tvorby.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis „The Moment of Creation“ deals with a specific kind of painting, in which the process of creation and the experience of it is more important than the final work itself. I connect my artwork to the history of art, specifically abstract expressionism and action painting. I also mention artists, who see artworks as a record of the act of creation and I describe their techniques. Other topics are elements, that are characteristic for my artwork. These topics are the act of creation from a psychological view, technique and the importance of knowing it, time and process of creating, color, expressing emotions and the relation between chance and control in the creative process. The most important part of the theoretical part of this thesis is a description of techniques, which I use in order to achieve a higher level of experience from the act of creation.
