Ethics of clinical research and the role of ethics committees in its regulation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Etika klinického výzkumu a role etických komisí v jeho regulaci se zabývá tématem, které je sice diskutováno již po staletí, z právního hlediska se mu však začala řádná pozornost věnovat až po druhé světové válce zejména pod vlivem nelidských experimentů, konaných právě v průběhu války. V teoretickém přehledu práce věnuje pozornost zejména regulaci klinického výzkumu různými mezinárodními normami, v analytické části zpracovává vybrané směrnice CIOMs. Dalším podstatným tématem práce je role etických komisí v klinickém výzkumu, která v případě České republiky nemá dlouhou historii.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis Ethics of Clinical Research and the Role of Ethical Committees in its Regulation deals with a topic that has been discussed for centuries, but from a legal point of view it began to pay due attention only after World War II, especially under the influence of inhuman experiments. . In the theoretical overview, he pays particular attention to the regulation of clinical research by various international standards, in the analytical part he processes selected CIOMs guidelines. Another important topic of the work is the role of ethics committees in clinical research, which in the case of the Czech Republic does not have a long history.
