Cílem práce je zmapovat současnou roli Soudního dvora EU při ochraně a prosazování lidských práv a svobod. S ohledem na judikaturu SD EU práce identifikuje mechanismy, především řízení, které SD EU k ochraně lidských práv využívá, a oblasti lidských práv, ve kterých je tento soud zapojen. The aim of the thesis is to map the current role of the CJEU in the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms. With regard to the case law of the CJEU, the thesis identifies the mechanisms, especially the proceedings, that the CJEU uses to protect human rights, and the areas in which this court is involved.
